Congregation L’Dor Va-Dor supports Israel and its people, AM YISRAEL CHAI! Our prayers are always with Israel as they fight to protect themselves and rid themselves of the attacks by Iran, Hamas and other terrorist organizations and countries. Welcome to our Congregation, Family and Friends! Are you feeling more than ever that Jews of all backgrounds need to come together and support each other? Are you frustrated with the arbitrary boundaries separating us into different categories: Cultural Jews, Secular Jews, Observant Jews, Progressive Jews, Orthodox Jews, etc., etc.? Would you like to be part of a Jewish community that is welcoming to all well-meaning people, devoted to helping others, while joyfully celebrating our unique heritage? Inspired by the good deeds and interfaith community ties our late Rabbi Barry Silver (z”l) initiated, our synagogue, L’Dor Va-Dor, unaffiliated with any particular movement but respectful of all, believes that Tikkun Olam, repairing the world, is our greatest mitzvah. Rabbi Silver taught us that helping others in need and teaching our children and grandchildren to help others, enriches not only their lives, but ours as well. We are very fortunate to have Rabbi Carol Robbins-Garrett as the spiritual and service leader of L’Dor Va-Dor, displaying the warmth, inspiration, and caring we all want and need. We are so proud of Rabbi Carol, having been ordained as Rabbi Robbins-Garrett on June 25, 2026, after many months of studies and preparation for this new role and title! We joyfully welcome you to Congregation L’Dor Va-Dor, hopefully as a member, but at least as a regular participant in our musical and moving services and our many activities that inspire us to lead lives rich in meaning and purpose.

Our congregation is led by Rabbi Carol Robbins-Garrett, who serves as both our spiritual leader and cantor, ordained as Rabbi in June 2026!
We have a wonderful Women’s Group (“The Women of Shechinah“), where all women are welcomed, aa well as a welcoming Men’s Group (“The Ezekiel Group“). We meet periodically for enjoyable get-togethers. We hold monthly meditation sessions led by Rabbi Carol, as well as weekly virtual sessions providing educational content either about the Torah or Jewish personalities.

L’Dor Va-Dor is proud to stand up and speak out on the rights for women, religious freedom, anti-Semitism, the environment, and other important and critical issues. Rabbi Barry Silver (z”l), our spiritual leader until his too-soon passing in March 2024, was part of an important documentary film, “UNDER G-D“, in which he speaks out about his lawsuit filed against the anti-abortion Florida law (please CLICK HERE to watch this important film). Rabbi Barry played an integral role in the social action he wished to correct throughout the state of Florida and more. We will continue to pursue what he fought for … a greener and safer Planet Earth and haven for generations to come.
