Dear Friends of Congregation L’Dor Va-Dor,
We hope that this finds you well. We have missed being together. We welcome you to join us as we return together in person for the High Holy Day Services. We hope that YOU and your friends and family will JOIN WITH US as we provide our InspiRational and dynamic approach to Judaism, one that is exciting, inspiring and rational!
Our High Holy Day Services are ones that you, your children and your grandchildren can all attend and enjoy. Hear traditional melodies, modern songs, and amazing original music, performed by our Cantor Carol Garrett, guest Cantorial Spiritual Leader Andrew David Susman, and Rabbi Barry. Congregation L’Dor Va-Dor, founded in 1997, is led by Rabbi Barry Silver, a Rabbi truly committed to social action and making our world a better place, having recently engaged in a legal suit to preserve religious freedom and women’s rights. Rabbi Barry has also served in the Florida Legislature, columnist for the Jewish Journal, leader of the Environmental Coalition, and along with L’Dor Va-Dor, is building the Judaism of Tomorrow today, based on Jewish wisdom of the past and present and modern science. We invite you to join us in this stimulating, evolving, and exhilarating new perspective of our religion.
Please reserve your tickets for our High Holy Day Services this September-October for the Jewish New Year of 5783 and take advantage of EARLY savings. Guest tickets can be purchased for $85 per adult, if paid with check through September 10, 2022 (prices will increase to $100 per adult by check as of Sept. 11). Online ticket purchases will incur an additional $5 per ticket to cover credit card processing fees.
Services will be held in the comfort of the Santaluces Community High School Theatre, 6880 Lawrence Road, Lantana, Florida and will be better than ever with creative innovations we have learned over the past years and uplifting, engaging spirituality and reflection to launch the Jewish New Year. Our High Holy evening services will begin at 7:30 pm, and morning services will begin at 10:30 am. We will present our popular and fascinating interfaith dialogue after our Yom Kippur morning service, followed by our Yizkor Memorial and Concluding Service. We will host our annual food drive on Yom Kippur morning as a part of our Tikkun Olam (social action) and offer other ways to get involved in helping our community.
To attend our High Holy Day Services, please complete the form on the Guest Ticket page. Tickets will be mailed out to your address around the middle of September. All later ticket purchases will be held at the Will Call desk in the theatre lobby.
We invite you to celebrate Shabbat with us every Friday evening in person at The Mariposa, 9130 Hypoluxo Road, Lake Worth, FL 33467 at 7:30 pm, or you may view these virtually via Zoom or our YouTube channel (links can be found on our website’s home page).
