Something BRAND NEW for the NEW YEAR, on Sunday afternoon, Jan.23 at 4:00 pm ET on Zoom, we will offer KUMZITS “18” Chai Song Celebration, a meditative, musical, and inspiring gathering, where all can participate and be a part of something very special! This wonderful and spiritual program will be led by Rabbi Barry Silver, Cantorial Spiritual Leader Andrew Susman, and Cantor Carol Garrett. The program will provide music and song, as well as beautiful words and food for thought.

A little history about Kumzits:
Kumzits is used to describe a musical gathering that Jews partake in. Everyone sits together, be it on the floor or on chairs, and sings spiritually moving songs, in order to establish a certain ambiance. The lighting is often low and candles may primarily be used, or if taking place outdoors, it is usually around a campfire or fire pit. If is not Shabbat, then there may be musical instruments, such as guitar or violin, accompanying the songs. An orator will usually tell short inspirational folk stories between songs.
Since we are attempting to be safe due to COVID spreading, we will have this first KUMZITS live on Zoom and al can be seated in their home with dim lighting and in comfort and safety.
