ABOUT US

Congregation L'Dor Va-Dor was founded in June 1997 by a few families who were searching for spiritual fulfillment. We felt that there was a need in the Western Boynton, Lake Worth, Wellington and Greenacres areas for a synagogue that would serve people of all generations in a true Reform atmosphere. One of our main philosophies is that anyone and everyone who wants to learn about Judaism and be part of Judaism, is welcomed. We are especially sensitive to interfaith families. It is our fervent desire that our children learn about their Jewish heritage and traditions and they pass their knowledge on to their children and their children's children. Therefore, we chose the name "L'Dor Va-Dor": From Generation to Generation.

STATEMENT OF FAITH

The purpose of this congregation is to promote the fundamental and enduring principles of Judaism and to ensure the continuity of the Jewish people, to enable its members to develop a relationship with God through communal worship, study of Torah, and assembly, and to apply the principles of Reform Judaism to the values and conduct of the individual, the family and society.

Our Vision

The vision of Jewish Education within the Reform movement is the deepening of the Jewish Experience and Knowledge for all liberal Jews, in order to strengthen their faith in G-d, love the Torah, and identify with the Jewish people, through involvement in the Congregation and participation in Jewish Life.

At Congregation L’Dor Va-Dor Religious School, we aim to help our youngsters reach this goal by guiding them with a creative and well-balanced curriculum.  We hope that through their years here, students will develop and maintain a positive Jewish attitude, which will lead them to pursue learning and feel comfortable about all aspects of their daily life and culture.  We intend to transmit the concepts and practices of basic Jewish values:  Tzedakah (Charity), Kedushah (Holiness) and Gemilut Hasadim (Acts of Loving Kindness) to every student so that they grow to become valuable members of our Jewish Community.
