Chaverim

What is a Chaverim.  A Chaverim is a group of friends and/or a social group designed to share, learn and experience together.

Replacing our Sisterhood and Men’s Club, we at Congregation L’Dor Va-Dorchose to form a Chaverim.  Since the men and women often met together and socialized, it was felt that by combining our efforts, we could plan more events.

You do not have to be a Congregation member to be a member of our Chaverim, but we encourage you to join.  The cost of most Chaverim events will be reduced for paid-up Chaverim members.

Our membership year runs from August 1st to July 3lst coordinating with our Congregation year.  Dues for one year are $36 for non-congregation members, and $20 for Congregation members.

Our breakfast and/or luncheon forums are informative, entertaining and stimulating covering various topics of interests from health related issues to controversial concerns, not to mention  great food.  Other activities are in the works.

Since Chaverim is also a supporting arm of our Congregation, we will sponsor various fundraising activities from time to time to help supplement the needs of the Congregation. We have just purchased a 60 inch TV, and DVD player for the Congregation so we can now offer movies etc.

We are always looking for ideas for future activities.  If you would like to help on any of our committees, please let us know.

For further information about our Chaverim, please contact Arlene and Larry Bloom at 561-752-8256 or you can pick-up a membership application in the L’Dor Va-Dor office.  Congregation membership information is also available in the office.
